Thread: How to insert text into text area

I want to insert text into a text area so that the text will be scrollable. Once I create the text area from the Insert menu, I cannot find a way to insert text. Surely there must be a way to do this.

Is COPY & PASTE not working to insert text into a text area?
Or, do you mean a "text box" that has a scrollbar arrow on the side to manually scroll the text?
(two different issues, right?)

do you mean like in a marquee - so the text will scroll on it own - right, left, up or down
