after making your jalbum and viewing it to make sure it is what you want go to the publish tab - fill in your IP address - leave port alone, put in your cpanel user name and password, web directory is - public_html
remot directory is name of album i.e. album/mypictures
smart upload and WAIT - sometimes it will time out - just smart upload again - and again if necessary - for the first time ever i had one upload today with out any time outs - amazing

Hi Sharon...are you hving problems uploading...if so then use BLUE FTP to upload everything after the album is created. It's quicker than JALBUM's uploading. Just make sure the index files everything get uploaded. I'll be checking in on and off so shout if you need anything else. Also drop me an e-mail through beezworld if you just need to anything else.

I don't know Jalbum yet, but came across this somewhere in the forum about timeouts when publishing. If it helps:
be careful with this one! (observe case)
start,run, type: regedit
select: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BlueVoda8\Publish
add or modify, ConnectionTimeout
select the decimal value of about 300
The default value is about 30 seconds, this will
increase the value to 5min.
This helped me with my large image pages,
but I'm looking for a good album that lets me
enter lots of text.

Hi Brad,

Depending on the type of album you choose to use...you can enter quite a bit of text to JalBlum and you can modify length of text also. Try it and see if it would work for you. Shout out if you need any assistance.

Did you create album already?

What does it say when you are uploading?

How many pics are you uploading?

If it's a lot...it takes a while (the only draw back with this program is them load time..it sucks).

Did you try uploading using BV's BLUE FTP to upload files?

hi it ann again - i ran my pictures through pixresizer before making my albums - my last album has 4 albums in it and one part of it has 23 pictures - did you save your album and view it before publishing - if its just the time outs - sometimes it is one particular photo that it doesnt like for some reason - and if you take it out it goes fine. like i said my last one was lots of pictures and for the first time ever loaded without time outs

I got it loaded OK, it has saved as well. I can preview it just can't get on on my site, I'm sure it is something I'm forgetting to do. I'm going to look at yours. I love yours

i opened a blank page inserted an I-frame - using the link tab in the i frame i linked to my album i.e. http://www.movingon1.com/album/august2006 my jalum loaded into ftp as album/august2006 if you cant remember (as i usually dont) you can check for it in ftp manager good luck

with blank page open it is on left hand side - 3rd icon down - be sure to stretch it big enough to hold your size photo and be sure to place iframe in upper left hand corner of page - after publishing you can re arrange it if need be - my fingers are crossed ann

did you publish it? whats the url .....all pictures should be there unless too big - i used pixresizer what did it look like when you viewed it in preview in jalbum? were all the pictures there one just one skin?

hows it going? if you only have one album all the pictures show up in the iframe as thumnails if you have more than 1 album just one picture from each shows up in iframe until you click on them. would porta work for you ? it is easier but not as nice looking?

let me review - when you "view album" on main page it looks good and you have saved it -
publishing - FTP is string of numbers, port is 21, username and password are okay - in Web directory just put no quotes "public_html" (i was thinking of a subdomain when i suggested adding domain name - but yours is an add on) Remote directory would be -> album/nameofyoupictures when i remembered i put my site in Web root URL and Preview Link (last time I dont think I remembered to do it.) use smart upload - when you look in FTP manager right side it will be under album open album and it should be there

maybe you need to start from the very begining - make a new folder with your pictures with a different name, be sure you put it in your addon sites folder in BV then open jalbum and make a new album - just a thought ann
