Thread: Viper Guestbook

Hi

When i load up my viper guestbook it has gone all funny, some of the information isn't displaying properly and the post are longer in line. Is it just my screen or does everyone see it like this?

Also what can I do to correct it?

Looks odd to me as well. What changes did you try to implement before this happened?

Hi I went to look at galleries in fantastico and it said that my guestbook need updated so I clicked update and then it came up update sucessful and that was it....

....please help!

It doesn't look like you have much in there. If I were you, I'd just uninstall and then add it again..

I really need help with my Viper Guestbook. I have gone through the set up and I am stuck from there??? If I need to upload it, how do I do that?

Ok if you have gone through the setup and when it asked for the directory you typed guestbook then you need to go to

www.yoursitename.com/guestbook to view and
www.yoursitename.com/guestbook/admin.php to access the admin area. Of course if you typed in anyother directory then the /guestbook would be changed to whatever you named the directory. If you left it blank go bak into fantastico, click on viper, click on unintstall and then reinstall it under guestbook.

same thing happened to me a while back, I dont think I will update again ... had to reinstall etc., wasn't able to get it back ...

seems the same problem is still there with the guestbook, i guess it was about a month ago for me ....

aw man... I don't know exactly what the original poster's issue was, but I was quick on the trigger finger to update mine as well and ended up with THIS.

Boo...

all those funny symbols and missing icons/pics. what the heck??

so, if I had to reinstall it, do I lose all of my entries???

This is a terrible "upgrade" option, if you can call it that.

Yeah I agree, I think one of us had better take the time to let them know of these problems, but in so far as the entries, what I ended up doing was to copy and paste them to a word document, then had to re-insert them all myself, at least I was able to save the entries this way.
