Thread: Newbie intro + Image mystery, nothing shows up

Hello to all, my first post. Created a site with BV builder, everything looks ok on preview, published it, page by page, no problems. When I try to access it on any browser, none of the images show up. All text and others are perfectly ok. I have checked and tried so far to: 1. FTP all the images again to the folder. By the way, all images are either jpg or gif (for transparency), all made with Fireworks. 2. Because there are few different sites under same account, the files are in subfolders, including the html files, is to say, html and images are in the same folder. domain name point dorectly to the subfolder. Tried to put the images directly to public_html, as somebody advised, no difference. 3. Image size shouldn't be a problem, largest image is 11,2kb, names not longer than 9 characters, no spanish or scandinavian characters used. 4. All the images can be seen from cpanel but not from url line. I'm totally confused, everything should be ok but it just is not! Help!

Update: After allowing direct access from url line in Hotlink Protection, the images come up. So this in my understanding is that i'm linking them wrong. Is there a way to link them properly because I'd like to keep Hotlink protection on if pos.

Have you entered your own long and shorl domain url´s in the hotlink box ?
