    Cool Site Map Problem

My site map is not working - no links or format. If I want to try again, do I delete the one that is there and start over or is there a way to fix it? Thank you,

I would suggest redoing it Marleen.

Are you creating it via this link? This one works well.

I created the ROR site map, however, there are pages in the created site map that are "page not found". I then went to my files and deleted any that I was not using on the site. I then reran the site builder and replaced the new one on my desktop. Still "page not found" on about 3 or 4 pages. Not sure what I have done wrong. Thanks.

"page not found" is usually due to a link to a page that is
    a) not there or
    b) the link is pointing to a different page.

Check your links, then rerun the ror program again
then overwrite your existing ror file.

Its not usual to download the sitebuilder(BV) again just for ror problems.

    have fun

Thanks David. Now that I have done that, I have another question. I found one of the problems ... I think. My second page is in the public file but is not in my BV file. I don't know if I am saying that right. When I first log on and say Open and Existing, my second page does not appear. However, when I go to my public file it is there as an HTML. I went to FTM and did a drag to the file but now it is only a HTML file and not BV. Sorry if this is confusing. HELP.

Hi marleen, I think I understand what you said......
Try doing a search on your computer for the missing 2nd bv page
if its not there then rename the html page to xxxxxxx.bvp and then open
    xxxxxxx.bvp in bluevoda.
if anything is missing, update the page and then re-publish and it will then be on your compuer and your website.

Thank you David. Luckily I went to my recycle bin and restored the page. I am so worried that I am going to mess up the site that when I make these crazy mistakes. Thank you for being there. I have checked all of my links and cannot find where any are pointing to the wrong pages. I will try to run the ror again. If it comes up with "page not found" pointers again and the website is working fine, do you have any other suggestions. We have had over 450 visitors to the site this month and no one has told us that they have had problems but maybe they wouldn't. Thank you again,

    Hi Marleen,
I have ran ror for your site and it finds 11 pages........

If that is not right then rerun your ror program and ftp the latest ror.xml to your website.

You can also check your links by going into "TOOLS" > "verify links" .......................

    good luck

David - I actually have 10 pages. I went to Tools and verified all of my links. Thanks, that was neat. They all validated. When I reran the ror it also told me 11. So I must still have something wrong. I opened the ror on my desktop and there were 3 pages called out that I do not have as pages and I do not have files for ... they also do not have html extendors like the rest of them. Is there a way to edit the site map or do I keep trying to find the mistake?
