Thread: How to Create something (i dont know whats it called)

Hi All,

I am trying to create a thing (dont know what you would call it) whereby when people go to my homepage, they get this 'thing'

Its like a little window that appears from the top of the screen and asks if you like a free DVD. Then on that window there is a link that people can click on to get this free DVD.

To get a better understanding of what i am talking about, you can have a look at http://www.realestatesecrets.com.au/ and once the page loads you will see this thing window (thing) appear from the top of the screen.

Can somebody please assist me in getting one of those for my website?

I think that THING is called a pop up, and if i get those things I leave. I find them annoying if they arent for anything useful.

better ba careful of the THING "pops" it tend to chase users away

Pop up are a nusance if not asked for by veiwer..But your not outta luck.. If you look through the forums for past threads on the subject of pop ups.. you can usually find useful tips and sources...you might even consider using "links" to take the viewer to new windows, images or pages to deliver the message you want them to see .. It's fun... Doug
