Thread: my images

when i look at my website... it seems like some of my menu buttons have blown up and appeared behind other random things. right now, my index page looks fine.

page number 2... free_stuff has the blue bar "one stop shop" from the top of my index page behind the text at the top of the free stuff page. it should have the same red block at the top as my index page saying "site is normally updated weekly". next thing is that a few buttons from the menu bar are missing. the home button is gone and just grey and the my pics button is gone and now a red block.

page 3, banners_ads has that same block at the top messed up, only this time there is a bluevoda button blown up behind it.

page 4, my_pics has the same bluevoda button blown up behind it also.


so far i have tried these things.
used cCleaner, cleared temp files, got the new webdesigner 8, shut off firewall and antivirus(avast) while publishing.

sorry.... next email says it was done for an hour and a half but its good again.
this is driving me insane.... i havent done much with my site in a while but now i am back at it again and nothing wants to work right anymore. anyways....thanks in advance to anyone scanning my site for problems.

There was an announcement about BV changing server #6. Is this the server you are on?

that is the server i am on. i noticed it earlier and went back and republished everything on the new IP... still have the same problem.
also... i just made some more changes to my page and published it just to see what would happen. every page is all mixed up. it looks like i have parts of different pages appearing all in the wrong places. like when i publish the pages, the files get mixed up together and come out all wrong. also.. when i preview the pages they all come up fine.

its almost 6 in the morning here. going to bed. i will get back to this stuff when i wake up.

so it must be my computer. any suggestion for my computer that might help me see things right?? its kinda hard changing things when i dont even know if its coming out right. also... i checked it out on my wife's laptop and got the same thing. right now my free_stuff page has 2 menu buttons that are red blocks and my banner_ads page has the one stop shop blue bar at the top of the page. my home page and my_pics page look fine.

I see the red menu blocks on the free stuff page. Have you gone into the menu and made sure you haven't done anything funky there? Try deleting out that menu and then copy and paste one that's right from another page - (using the copy and paste ICONS - do not use right click or under edit).

ok... i tried this. then published free_stuff page. checked it and it was good. did the same thing to the banner_ads page... published it. checked it and its still messed up. checked the free_stuff page and its messed up again too.

so as of now... free_stuff has the header from banners_ads "blue bar saying banners and ads" as the home button and... banners_ads page has the header from my index page "blue bar saying one stop shop" at the top where it says site is updated weekly. it should be the same red bar as the other pages. again... thanks for all the help.

again ... also... when i preview the pages, they all come up fine. and i completely forgot about a big detail to add to all of this. i recently switched from german windows xp to american windows xp. i think that might be when the problem started. could this be where my problem is?? and if it is, i have no idea what to do about it.

its fixed.... all i did was went through all the different pieces that seemed to be popping up in the wrong places on other pages blue bar, red bar, menu buttons.... i copied them all into a blank page, deleted all of them from my webpages and then reinserted each piece from the blank page and it all works now. dont know why, but it does and i am happy with that. so thanks for all the help and i hope i didnt waste to much of anyone's time with this crazy stuff.
