can you please tell me how to set up online polls i dont want to use 3rd parties cuz they place ads

You can either install one of the poll scripts that fanastico offers or use a different one that you can download off the internet (You can probably find one that you can integrate into your website template)

Yes if you find one that cna be intergrated with your website you can get it to show up on your homepage. All of the ones that come in fanastico have thier own pages, you would have to give a link to the page and vote from there.
