Default Fonts from a Mac used as a JPG - Blurry on PC

I created a logo in Freehand (Mac). Saved in paths as a JPG and exported it. The type comes out raggy when I place it in Blue Voda. Is there a secret to this that I need to know? We build all of our print materials in Mac so it will continue to be a problem unless I am missing something. I can't dump my Mac.

    The temporary site is www.drpennysc.com

PS: AngelEyes - If you read this thanks for your help in publishing my temporary site.

    Chris:

That is the image. Thanks. It looks fine with what you just posted but in my published temporary sit it is ragged looking. What gives?

Hi, see if this is any better. Text on images is always a bit of a pain. Have also dropped down from 188KB to 10kb.
It maybe an idea to just crop the text of the image & use BV’s text next to it.

Only as a suggestion it may also be worth checking some of the other images on site as many are very large & really slow the pages down when loading. Have a look at the image/photo tips on the link below?

IE. This one was 190kb & may work a lot faster at 9 kb.

    Chris:

It is not a fancy font, I tried it with the PC fonts but my problems is that I can't figure out how to make the type flush right and left like I have done it in the Mac design program. Is there a way to stretch type in BlueVoda that I am missing? Thanks

PS: I downloaded the PixSizer and will save my photos in a smaller format.

    Thnaks for the tip.

Chris: Also is there a trick to making a logos background transparent so that it can be placed over a color background?

Its made up of a table with the image as the background in one of the tables. Also gives the text a transparent background.
Plus it's down to about 3kb now.

Chris: Forgive me for being slow but how what are the steps you took in BlueVoda to make that happen?

    Hi,
    • Place table on screen
    • Number of rows = 1
    • Number of Columns = 2 (all the rest set to 0)
    • Right click on left square of table & select cell properties/ brows & insert image & play with other controls in this area. IE: Do not repeat.
    • D/left click on right square type what you like
You have to play with stretching the tables a bit.
