Thread: Animation and music

I have rebuilt my index page and published;however when I view it doesn`t show the animation and I can`t here the music.
I have probably made a simple mistake but can`t see what I`ve done wrong. Please help.In addition a white background has appeared behind the text and when I saved it wasn`t there.

Martyn I can hear your music fine, what animation are you trying to see?

The text with the white background problem, click on the text, right click and go into properties, the colour background will be there, if its white, which is whats showing up, then change it to your background colour of yellow in the drop down menu.

I now have animation but no sound and I can`t get rid of the white background in the text.

I have followed your instructions to remove the white background without success. Any other suggestions?

Hi I did you your logo with a yellow b/ground to match your site.

Martyn, I don't know if there is a problem with the sound on your computer, but I can hear both songs on both sites, so there is nothing to fix. It is very hard to know which animation you are talking about if you don't state what you have placed that you are unable to view.

An animation is easy to place, just tell me which one you are wanting to place, just incase I see it this end. If not I will tell you how to place it in there.

Thanks to Roy b for the yellow background.
Paul the flags are supposed to fly and the CT Taxis sign is supposed to rotate like Roy b has done.
Is there a cookie that needs enabling for the volume for the internet because it must be something like that because a warning sounds when I receive an email I can hear.

Just a suggestion, your banner looks a bit pixelly so if you want to have a look at this one, you can use it if you like. Just add the wine glass image.

And just for the record I can't hear the sound either. What did you use to load the sound? was it real player?

Martyn, did you put both sites up for review also...There are a few improvements you could make, not pulling you down or anything but you could do many things to improve your sites.

Also people on the whole don't like music on sites and I for one click straight off, this is however your choice.

Music-

One- I can hear it so it is a local problem with your computer.
Two- Try clearing your cache by pressing F5 a few times after the page loads.

Third- Go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced and scroll down to multimedia. Make sure a check is placed in "Play music in web pages"

Roy,check email. I`ve applied your Banner.
I have had it playing but I didn`t use a music player I just browsed to it in "my music" and applied it.
It seems strange that most other people can hear it but we can`t.
Andy I`ve tried all your suggestions and I`ll pursue them (double check) tommorrow.

wine provider... try clearing you temp internet files.. as it will load pages from that & if they have errors... you'll never hear anything...

I`ve got something seriously wrong with this PC. I`ve just ran CCleaner and tried both my sites and I can`t see most of both of them.
Can someone see that it is me only please.

Try rebooting. If that dont work, then go to control panel, system, hardware tab, device manager, scroll down to sound and video controllers, click the plus sign to expand, and on the sound card control, click properties and remove. Then reboot and let windows reinstall it. Sound drivers very often become corrupted.

I`m not sure where you are either.
I tried to make it plain that allthough the upload box said it was done I didn`t see it when I posted.
Any ideas where it might have gone?

You had issues with hearing sound. I was telling you HOW to fix your sound. Now if you are having issues with uploads, thats a different thing. If you cant also see pages, then sounds like your mother board or video card is also going, or you have a nice virus. So, do the steps above to fix your sound card. If you are having all these other issues run a virus scan.
