Thread: Background Template Not Appearing

Hi all,
Started using BV yesterday and managed to create a nice little website. However, I have encountered a problem.

I downloaded the free BV background templates, and used one as a background. When I preview the site through BV the background template is there, but if I save the preview as a .html file, the background template is not there, only the background colour.

Is this a known problem? Maybe it's just the end user being a bit of a newbie fool?

Any help would be welcome.

Hi, with BV you don’t save the files as a .html file, you just save it as a name with no extensions. IE: Home . When you publish the page to Vodahost, it program will automatically change this to an html file.


PS, BV will only work with Vodahost account If you want to go live.

Ah, thanks very much Chris, presumably then, once the website has been published, if it is then viewed in a browser and saved as a .html file it will look like the original when it is re-opened?
