Image only showing Alt-Text

Hi

I have just uploaded/published another page and one of the images only shows Alt Text - have checked link etc. Any ideas ?

If I look at the properties of that image, it does not look like it could be a proper JPEG. Have you replaced it already?

Yes i have done that tom - but i will check in my local files to make sure its a j-peg.

Have you tried reinserting it and then republishing?

If you put your picture link in the url and enter
http://www.life-guru.com/laughing%20woman.jpg

You will see that "The webpage cannot be found". This can only mean that there is something wrong with the link to it. Just make sure...

The link for the photo is: http://www.life-guru.com/the_mental_...epression.html which is the same as the page itself - is this correct/ Also Tom - as an aside... I keep getting thrown out of the forum and having to log back in all the time... Is someone trying to tell me something !?!?

The picture is okay if on same page. Just delete that picture (this woman has a mood swing man), then use the image button to re-insert her. Then re-publish your page. It must work.

Why you are getting kicked off the forum - I have no idea.

Yeah - i thought she was too attractive to be for real !! thanks Tom - maybe i should find a different woman all together !

You could also try renaming the image, this seems to help at time, rename the image, reinsert the image with the new name and republish.

The grass is not greener on the other side my friend. Try and stick with her. Have you tried the above, before you divorce her?

Thanks to both and is now working.... Sory Tom - I went straight in 'Divorced her' got a more willing partner.... LadyEye - sorry to be boring and I have to quit for today but my sitemap thingy is still not working..... mayme tomorrow... Yes - there's always tomorrow!!
