Thread: Paypal donation button

Hello friends,
I wan't to add paypal donation button to my website,i watched bluvoda paypal tutorials but still i have some questions,please clarify.

1.Paypal account:Is it necesary to type @paypal.com or just typing my email address is enough?

2.Donation name/service: what should i type in this?

3.Donation ID/number: where i can get this ID/number?

4.Require shipping information/allow customer note: what does it mean?

5.successful payment URL/cancel payment URL: not understood.

I hope some one will explain about these features.

It would be your email address since I doubt you have an email address at paypal. This needs to be the address you use at paypal to receive your payments - this is your account.

2.Donation name/service: what should i type in this?

This would be up to you, whatever you are collecting donations for.

3.Donation ID/number: where i can get this ID/number?

I am not sure, but I suppose this would be your own numbering system. Perhaps you do not need to enter the information here, or if you do, start with a number of your own ... like I say, I am not really sure on this one.

4.Require shipping information/allow customer note: what does it mean?

This would be if you are sending out a product as a "thank you" to the donator, or if you are selling items - where the product would be shipped. If you are not shipping anything, do not tick this ..

5.successful payment URL/cancel payment URL: not understood.

You create a webpage for each of these. Successful payment page, here is where you can thank the donators for their donation and let them know you have received their payment. Cancellation page - Build a page that says "Your order/donation has been cancelled".

I hope some one will explain about these features.
