Forums/Chat/Guest book- what is best?

Hi. I'm looking for advice as to whether to add a forum, a guest book, a blog......as you can see I'm confused. I run a small business as a stylist. To improve my web ranking I think I should have some sort of community input. I'm happy to do a Q and A for help with style tips or a guest book for people who visit my site.
What is EASY, low maintenance and will give me a better ranking?

What is the difference between forums and guest books

Guest books are not really interactive, they are just for leaving comments.
Forums are for interaction with 2 way views on a subject.

Well content is going to get you better ranking. Blogging is only as good as the blogger. If you dont have time to maintain it, you are better off NOT doing it. Blogging in my opinion, is NOT low maintenance, it must be done at the minimum of WEEKLY! If you arent entertaining, telling stories, sharing content and keeping a readers interest and garnering your own spidering with its content its rather worthless.

You are better off putting content on your site, tips and tricks and inviting user comments and posting them to the page than starting a project like blogging and not following thru.

The blog is the most suitable thing to do. She can make her site and put a blog where she and other people can talk.

A forum is not right for the cause, its just too much for no reason and a guest book is for the random person to leave a comment.
