Thread: image hovers

Ok I am very new to web designing so I need some help. What I want to do is have thumbnail pictures along the bottom of a page. when I hover over the thumbnail the full image appears in a larger version in a particular place higher up on the page. I have looked up using lightbox and I suppose i could change my site to use that but I'm hoping someone will have a better idea for me.

unfortunately those image effects aren't really what I am looking for. Maybe i need to try and explain better. say i have a box at the top of my screen.
below that box i have 4 thumbnails. When i rollover a thumbnail i want the larger image to appear in the box.

Bit long winded, but this may work. You can place the large image box anywhere you want for all the large images.
& you can place the small images anywhere on the page.
