    Question Centering Text - Help

I am a mild newbie. I have text with a word I want centered on the page. I have seen the video on inserting HTML. The word is on a line all by its self.

I highlight the word I want centered and use the box at the top for centering and my whole document becomes centered.

I have used the insert html box and placed it before the word with<center> and a html box behind the word with </center>. The word still stays left justified.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

No html box will do anything there.

If you want only one word centered, and the rest left justified, simply break your text: one part that has everything up to the centered word, one for the word itself, one for the rest. Center only the word.
