I have seen a number of sites where they have the latest 5 forum posts on their homepage.
Does anyone know how to do this?

It will be different for whatever forum script you are using, many scripts will have the code you need on their website, either in their mod database or possibly their forum.. If you cant find it there a google search will probably find a website with the code, try a query like
"[name of the forum you are using] +latest posts +homepage"
changing the green text to the name of the script (ie. phpBB, vB, IPB, etc)
