    Question Transparent flash player problems

    Hi

We have 3rd party generated code for a transparent /and or visible flash video player. (the controls)

We have tried using BV html insert box and then publishing without success. However, we have had success when we upload the code generated via ftp. The videos play perfectly. see

    screencontentproductions.com/joshtest/player_o.html.

The problem is we need to insert additional text and pictures. We have tried inserting these other elements thru control panel file manager, but the text does not appear.

The code appears when we check the code, but no text displays on the web page on preview or save ?

How do we get additional elemnts to appear on the page along with the video & player.

Any advice will be much appreciated

Need to go back to thinking as you would in Photoshop: Flash is always "on top," meaning you cannot layer anything over it and you might logically suppose, since Blue Voda allows layering extensively. What you created in BV is there when you preview (and save), but is under the Flash element when viewed in Preview or live.

To drop text over or additional images in your Flash dynamic, you will need to create it in Flash, or convert it: try first creating your "movie" as a video or Windows movie, complete with image swaps and text effects, and then simply converting it to Flash .... actually quite simple and highly effective, and when using a utility that you can download Free, it sure beats trying to set time aside to learn a new set of tricks, right?

Question Re: Transparent flash player problems

    Hi

Many thanks for your help. However the flash player we use also designed to trigger pictures or text to display on the webpage at specific times. If I convert to a movie as you suggest will this type of interactivity still be available?

Is there no way to set the flash player as the bottom layer ?

    Many thanks

    No.
If somehow you do find a way, let me know, as it would be the advent of a new era in Flash, and would be a boon to many clients.
