Thread: Stupid Background Question

Hi There!

I have a question about backgrounds. I see such "cool" looking backgrounds on other people's websites but all I see in the bluevoda options are standard colors. Is there a way to make my background fade from lighter to darker or put in a funky background.

Help please. I'm tired of the boring colors.

You can use a shape image as a backgound and stretch it out and use the gradient feature that will give you that affect. Just click on te shape icon in the tool bar on top.

Background choices are limited only by your imagination !!!! You can insert any graphic of your choice (jpeg, gif, png format).
The "shapes" feature allows for gradations of all sorts.

Just a bit of a caution though about using a jpeg, gif or png image as your background .. this will tile if the image is not 1600 or so wide and 1400 or so in length .. and an image this size would definitely need to be optimized .. www.dynamicdrive.com has an online optimizer useful for this type of approach .. otherwise your page will not open as quickly as it should ..
