Thread: What is the best Size?

I am trying to redo my site, and I have found some free website headers to use, but my question is what is the best size of these should I use?

There isn't a 'best size' header. It depends on what layout you choose for your site. It's best to keep the width at 1000 px and under. Have fun experimenting & seeing which header looks best :)

Many are using 1000px. Personally I use 780px as I know it will fit all. Many of the big boys are still at 800px & bellow. Even Vodahost is using 709px for the main site.
