Default Converting HTML into URL Link..Is it possible?

    Hi All!

I am having a problem positioning the HTML product options in my site. It does not go to its proper place. Would it be possible for me to just use a link that I will attach in my Add to Basket Link? But the size and color options will still show?

    Here's my link: http://pinkbasket.saldua.com/women_c...nk_basket.html

Thank for your Help in advance!

    Hi..

I don't know if you have seen this before - I'm using Mal's too in my store, but I didn't get to the part of multiple choice products like yours.

Anyway, of great help to me it has been THIS link:

    http://www.wsdh.net/mals/miscexam.htm

All pages have valuable information regarding setting up your malīs shopping cart.
Go trough all page, read and see if you find a solution there.
    Any question please come back.

Good luck, and greetings from Portugal,

    Susana

Thanks for that link. I have already visited it and it is where I got the right code for my product options. I was able to put it on my site and it works well. But my problem is that, when I post another HTML to my site having the same code for my other products, it does not go into its proper place. It always appears downward. would you know how to put the HTML boxes to its proper place?

    Thanks so much!

you should be able to drag and drop the html boxes where you want them and size them accordingly. IF you are putting more than one code in the box you probably will have to learn to code tables to align them properly or put them in seperate html boxes.

    Hi Karen!

I have pasted each code in different boxes. I erased the flashing line if you said it is pushing the codes to mis align. But still, it doesn't change. I'll study the table coding. Maybe it's the solution.

    Thanks for all the help!

    Hi Karen!

I tried everything you suggested, but still to no avail.

I deleted everything in the site, tried to place the 2 HTMLs with the product options code. But wherever I place them, they are still in line downwards.

I can't figure out the problem. Hope I can solve this as soon as possible as my target website launch is on 8th of August.

Thanks so much for all the help!

well its in your code most likely aligning the element center or something.. in fact it looks like both codes are in one element.. and I see one flashing line.. like you loaded your images twice but its behind the background in the main body area and two in the side bar left.

Maybe I am not understanding you correctly but...

You don't install ANY html code when using Mals cart????

I have set up a few mals carts and this has never been an option. The code is within the link and the parameters of the product.

You have to create a form on your page for each product. (see image)

Then place any drop down option boxes within that form area.

Then using the hidden fields option of the form properties you insert each product criteria, Mals ID number, Price etc
(see image - My Mals ID has been hidden)

Then, still in the form properties you enter the product code or name into the field that says 'form name'. Then enter the url that MALS generated for you as your own url into the action field.

    Change encoding type to 'multipart/form-data'

Then place a submit button on the form and that's how you set up mals.

Yes.. you can do it that way too.. or code in an html box.. you can customize how it looks... colors and multiple variations if you use their code in an html box.

    Hi Marincky!

I've already figured out the Success URL link, ans it's already working fine. My problem now is that, the options chosen does not appear in the cart but, it appears in the notification email.

How do I make it appear on the cart?

    Again, thank you so much!

Yes you can use your own buy it now button.

When you say it doesn't appear in your cart. The way it works is that it takes all the paramemters you have given in each form and it should convert this to a description in your paypal cart.

For example. A product called P1001, yopu name your form this number, so that when it appears in your cart it will take that number and place it in the description.

Then it will also take all the fields chosen by the client. So in your dropdown you could have colours, sizes etc. Whatever the visitor chooses it should display this in the description of the item bought.

    Am I making sense?

I don't know what you mean by this?

Don't use the 'built in form processor' bit on your form.

In the hidden fields if you create a field called 'return' and then type in the url of the page you want the client to go back to if he or she clicks 'Return to shopping' this is the only thing I can think you mean.

One more thing please..would you mind giving me a sample screen shot of your General tab in Form Properties?

I just don't know what exactly to put on the fields.

    Thanks very much for that!

I wish I can end this favor now..but another problem I got..
Hope you wont mind visiting my site where I placed the forms?
Maybe you can figure out what I am doing wrong.
I followed every instruction you gave me. But still, I can't perfect it. Nothing's appearing in the Product Description in the cart. I believe everything I put on the form are within the parameters.

Thanks so much for your time Marincky..

Click on the link in my signature that says 'talk to me'

At the top of the home page is my email address.

Email me this page (the bv file) in question so I can look over it.

I will be opening the file in BV10.2 though so ensure you have this version.

Just emailed the file back to you.

Save it in your BV folder over the top of your old file.

Don't worry about the changes I have made, I am running a little test first. let me know when republished.

I sussed it... you had no info in the values field of all your drop down options. You also need to mention the product name before each option in the value field only (not in the name field) (see image)

ALSO - put product[] in the name field in your Combobox properties for ALL combo boxes on the page. (see image)
