    Default smf/php intigration

    Hi again,

I'm not quiet sure if this is the best spot for this question if not feel free to move it.

Currently on my website, I am using a iframe to have my forums show up on my site, but I want to intigrate the forums into the site so that I don't have to use a iframe. Making it look more seamless, as well as being able to make it so when people log into the forums this allows them access to other parts of the website as well.

I am by no means a expert on php coding of any sort but I want to learn so that I can implement this on my site. Does anyone know of resources that can help me acheve this, and or can teach me how to acheve this?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Because then the forum page no longer matches the rest of the website. If this was an option I'm pretty sure I would have simply done this.

Just because you don't want to / have a helpful answer to my question doesn't mean you have to leave a snide remark in an attempt to make me think "omg how stupid of me why didnt I think of that" It just makes you look like a pompes ass.

*also please excuse my rudeness / language in the last post if that is taboo on these forums, Just because I do not know the in's and out's of coding and building a website does not mean I have to put up with someone trying to make me look / feel retarded*

My answer was just a simple question to a simple question......we have members here at all different levels and sometimes communication gets in the way......
I often ask a question first so that I can guage my level of reply, so there was no intention of being snide.

I believe that you could change the look of your forum to better fit in with your overall site design and I am willing to look up one of our other members who have posted answers on the above.

So please, chill out, and lets see if we can find the answer that you are looking for...................

If that was your intent then I apologize for overreacting, when you put the ellipses on the end of your sentence I took it as being sarcasum and not a honest question.

Intent is difficult to judge over the internet. :S

This Website is a perfect example of what I'm looking to have my site do, there is a log in for the forums on the front page which also gives you access to other area's of the site once you are registered:
    http://tankspot.com/

and the forums are intigrated directly into the website, and match it perfectly http://www.tankspot.com/forums/

I have never had the need to create a forum but I have seen many posts where people wish to do exactly as tankspot have done.

I suggest that you visit the creator of your board and check their forums on how to change the header and footer.

That link I gave you may have the answer as well...........good luck Nick.
