Default popup, alt tag, or new page?

I am sure the answer to my question has already been answered on this forum somewhere but I don't know what question to ask. Would someone look at this page: http://www.gpteas.com/teas.php ? I want the potential customer to be able to scroll over the list of teas (which will be lengthly when finished) and have a description of the tea pop up, sort of like an alt tag. I would prefer to not have to make a complete new page for every tea description.

Right now the list of teas is in a text box which I know is wrong for what I want to accomplish.

My "other jobs" have kept me away from BV too long and I'm having to relearn what I did know, which wasn't enough. Any other critique of the page will be greatly appreciated.

COOL, thank you! I am planning on diving in and being able to do this myself. I may be back, but thank you ever so much!

    Hi Vasili,
Didn't want to open a new thread about the same topic..and that's why I'm posting here.
Saw your link (and Naval's in an other topic) and just can not dowloaded it. It comes fast but when I click to 'unzip' nothing happens. You think there's a problem with the file? Any other page you would recommend? Was thinking and this would be quite interesting for me: people would 'mouseover' a destination or attraction (name) and the image would come up like magic right on the top of the name!

    Thanks again,

If you are downloading the zip file from the resource page I linked to above, then it is a problem on your end ...... do you have WinZip? Is it current? There should be no difficulty unzipping the script files otherwise...

And yes, I do like simple gizmos like this, as they are not a burden to the visitor nor do they clutter up a site, but offer really useful "info" and interaction that is valued highly across the board.
*It used to be things like this is what set Flash apart way back when (at one point not so long ago, you would see things like this only on Flash or Fusion sites), but now that more people have gotten creative and are monkeying with HTML and JAVA, the issue has become knowing when to stop adding gizmos and relying on the more precise COntent and relevance to do the job!

Thank you for your kind words. Surprisingly, this rookie can help even though I know next to nothing about php.

Go to this link and read. I actually printed out the instructions, highlighted sections, read and re-read.

Question Re: popup, alt tag, or new page?

I downloaded the walterzeron script for those great fancy hovertext popups, but coz i'm so novice at this I have no idea how to get them to work.....the instructions on the webpage http://www.walterzorn.com/tooltip/to...e.htm#features are so vague i can't get the jist of where anything goes.
What I want to do is when you hover over the "founding fathers" in the text area. a hover text box appears with quotes as listed in the hyperlink it is now directing to.
quite similar to the way i hover the mouse over the threads and it gives a discription of what is inside the posts.
