Its most definently possible with HTML, but I don't use BV so I dont know how to/if you can do it.

If you want to use html you could do something like

    <h1 style="color: DarkRed">Words to be in H1</h1>

Someone should come along to either confirm it can be done with BV and tell you how, or confirm it can't be done. Either way thats how to do it with html

May I suggest that you find out the corresponding # for the color and use it for the color. Otherwise it might not appear the same on all computers. :)

And another way to write it is:
    <center><h1><font style="tahoma" size="4" color="#CC3399">Your text here</font>
    </h1></center>

I don't recommend you do an h1 in size 1 - as it should be a true heading and bigger than the other text on the page. The size and color and text above are just examples.

    Hey Beth

Thank you for the tip. I'm stuck on making an h1 for the page/SE and making a headlines to pull the reader deeper into the page.

Is it not effective to have the h1 in smaller font than something else on the page as far as the Se's go?

example of what I'm trying to do http://www.atexflooring.ca/ajax_carpet.php

The headline should be written first and foremost for the USER of your site - but no, making it that small - will actually not help you in using an h1 - as the se's are smart enough to know when people make text basically unreadable.

And, I do believe it will be good for you to use the cities in the text somewhere - but I don't know if that's what should be in your headline of this page - remember EACH page will have it's own headline (or should). And I wouldn't put the cities in your headline - but that is information that you should have on the page.

    Thnx Beth

I did put the towns at the bottom as you mentioned a while back.
The thing is, I tried my keywords and it seemed like the pages that worked best were the ones that had the title and the h1 match in words.

Would you mind having a quick peak at my home page to see if it is Se freindly and to throw in some suggestion on improvment. I have the towns in the second paragraph. Would that do the trick?

Should I use the h1 for the headlines. Some of these headlines are designed for the reader and do not contain any of my keywords?

Between marketing and optimizing. It gets pretty tricky
