I would need my home page to contain an image of a beautiful house with two doors. On one door I shall link with the word "ENGLISH" and the other door shall carry the word "FRENCH". Visitors will need to select either english or french by clicking on the appropriate door to be linked to the site in that language.

My problem is that I am unable to get an appropriate image for that and how I need to go about it.

Can someone help, Please.

You could do a google search for website images, or images and various places will come up on the search - some free - some not free - you should be able to find the image you are looking for and perhaps pay a few dollars to have the rights to use it on your website.

but there are many free images to use on your website if you search as well ...
