Thread: Unable to make audio files work

My site URL is http://www.healthygents.com, I am having trouble getting an audio file to work. Once I upload it to the site and publish it I get an error when I click on it, there is no URL to the error, a new window pops up that is titled, Plugin Finder Service, It says,
No suitable plugins can be found
Unknown plugin(application/octet-stream)

What kind of audio file is it? Did you add it directly to your page using one of the media players?

I have Mp3 and Wav formats of my audio file and i tried adding it using the windows media player plugin.

I put the Audio file back up there, its in the middle of the page :)

Well if you did.. i couldnt find it.. and it wont matter anyway..youve got so much spam in your meta tags that nobody is going to see it anyway ..

99% of that doesnt live on your page, let alone fall within the meta tag guidelines..

I did finally find it.. when i got done laffing..

Sorry to jump in , but I had mine working just fien and all of a sudden they stop working



I only had them on a few pages as it can be annoying,

I went back and republished them and I also looked in the main foilder and I see them.

just all a sudden not working.

Are they background? because i dont see the player or hear them.

In BV under properties I uploaded the file.

I went back and looked and still see them... I even reloaded the file and uploaded the page. It should be working.
I see the .wav file it in my ftp root folder, I just do not see them any longer on view source.
It is suppose to play just once when page loads.

You uploaded it to the ftp folder and not the public_html folder. If its not in view source it doesnt exist.

Tht is the weird part. It worked fine for a few days.

I updated a few title tags, and a few other things.

I will fool around with it and see what happens.

I figured it out.
I was updating and was only uploading the "changed" html files so it must have taken the .wav out for some reason.

It is working now :) I republished all files. (whoch takes forever becasue of the coloring pages)

Hi... you are correct, you will find these discussion boards under the blue smiley fantastico icon in your control panel .. once you click that look for the subheading entitled DISCUSSION BOARDS .. you can choose either phpbb or smf ..both are discussion boards, forums. If you do not want it to be the main page of your website, be sure to pay particular attention to this part of the installation:

Leave empty to install in the root directory of the domain (access example: http://domain/).
Enter only the directory name to install in a directory (for http://domain/name/ enter name only). This directory SHOULD NOT exist, it will be automatically created!

In other words, choose a name for the folder to install to, this folder will be created with the installation ..
