Use the square block of color (background color for text - mouseover it will say background color) that is situated next to the A (for text color) in your website builder ... this is where the background color is changed, perhaps you have hit this by mistake when changing the text color itself .. in any case choose this, and choose reset background color, it will default to transparent ...
