    Default help please setting up an iframe

    A month ago I created an iframe in BV
    [listb.htm] but can’t get a new one to work. What am I doing wrong?

    I am using XP and saved a .doc page to second.htm and can see it in the left column of FTP.When I created listb.htm, subdirectories were created simultaneously that include: filelist.xml and header.htm No subdirectories were created with second.htm

    listb.htm published/moved from the left to the right column in FTP.
    second.htm won’t budge.
    Preview shows error 404 because second.htm hasn’t published.

    My problem must lie in the transfer from .doc to .htm

    I clicked on Save to Webpage and got the options Word document, xml document, combined webpage, webpage, webpage filtered and RTF [whatever that is] I chose webpage. But then I did as well with listb.doc.

    Do I need subdirectories to be able to publish second.htm?
    Is there another/better way of saving .doc to .htm??

    I’m trying to create an iframe on http://peninsularwarxxx.org/secondary.html [substitute 200 for xxx] so I can transfer the text and increase the font.

    I’m using http://peninsularwarxxx.org/clone.html to get this up and running.

    I hope I can finally master the step-by-step creation of an iframe. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi, i might of read this wrong. But why don't you just cut & paste the document onto your BV page as text? & have this show up in your iframe.

    You should save the .doc file as .htm / .html in a seperate folder
    then using the BV FTP program, Upload both the .xml and .htm together.
    (select both together, then transfer to the right hand side screen)

    you can see this test Iframe using secondary.htm here:

    David, I never got past your authorization box even though I was logged in and resubmitted my user name and password. But I take note of your instruction. Just not sure how to click on .xml and .htm at the same time.

    Chris, saving the .doc as .html on a BV page and inserting the url in an iframe worked! Somewhere in the BV threads I read that I had to save the page in an iframe to .htm Not so, I see.

    The text fits into the iframe but it will grow. It's length is now 4200. The bottom of my BV page is 4700. Can this be extended?

    Thank you both for your help!

    OOps, I forgot that section was protected....
    username = member
    password = member

    Why have the Iframe that Long when you can use a scroll bar with the Iframe, like I did in the example??

    To select more than one file at a time:
    click the first one
    then holding Ctrl key key down, click the second file

    both files will then be highlighted and you can then move both to upload.

    Good point about the length of the iframe.

    Can a BV page be extended beyond 4700? And if so, how?
    I will probably need more space on the page within that iframe, now on
    http://peninsularwarxxx.org/secondary.html

    Thanks David.
