Thread: Weekly Webcam

Ok, I have done a search to try to find the answer to the question I'm about to ask but couldn't find anything that I understood so I thought I would post to see if anyone knows of a way to do this.

The concept is this:
I want to do a weekly webcam "Talk Show" where there would actually be two live streaming webcams on the viewers screen, side by side. One would be streaming my webcam, the other of course would be that weeks guest. I would also like to have a small space under the webcams to show video clips (Like TV talkshows sometimes do when introducing their guests). And of course this would also need sound. So here are my questions.

First how would I set up the webcam spots.

Second is there a way to change the video showing (for the video clips) without the watchers having to refresh their browser.

And third how would I add streaming audio with the video?

I hope someone can help me with this because I'm very excited about this idea.

Well first.. you have to have a dedicated server, not regular hosting.

Then.. youd have to purchase the software to do it. Google it.

Update: I think I have found a free site that I can embed the video / audio into my web page. The only problem remaining is playing the video clips without making the viewers refresh their pages.

I dont think there are any FREE sites that will allow you to pull that kind of bandwidth for live streaming video. Especially ones that are not full of ADS and popups. playing video clips is not LIVE.

I know that the playing clips is not "live" what I'm wanting is to be able to control the video clips being played...and as far as I can tell the free site that I found does allow you to broadcast live for free and has an html code generator to put your live webcam on your website.

Then do that.
