If I want to add cod e"before the end of the body tag", what does that mean with respect to the 6 options i have when i look at the HTML part of "view"?

Why not go to page properties HTML and test your code in the different places... in your html document .. for more about how to script and make a html document look into this http://www.w3schools.com

For this you will want to choose end of body and paste your code there.
