Thread: Making profile database/searching profiles

I am trying to get an idea on how to go about making a searchable profile database after people input their info and set up a profile on my site. I'd like to get it all together for the most part before I Upgrade, I will be using Bluevoda.

Yes.. with custom scripting and databases this could be done.

Is there a good resource I could be referred to in order to get this done? I am not afraid to do it myself, I just need a starting point. Also once set up with Bluevoda would all the information be secure once people started using the site?

You would have to purchase a dedicated ip and ssl to encrypt and secure the information.

You can do a search on the forum for membership logins etc as a starting point to your forms and scripting and also do a google search. You might look at doing a CMS like joomla or php nuke or something similar that already has some of these features built in.
