Thread: second problem of many: THE GUESTBOOK

this is dante williams from likeatrueplayer.com. im trying to add a guestbook to my site. ive followed the intructions and went to my blue ftp folder and hit connect, but it wont connect. my ip server, username and password are in there and correct but it wont connect. can someone tell me why that may be or am i doing something wrong.

what is ur "blue ftp folder"?

the blufpt manager. under the remote tab.

Why are you not PUBLISHING ?? Why are you using ftp? What guestbook are you using? What error are you getting specifically? Have you added blue ftp and blue voda to your accepted programs to connect to the internet or full access in your firewall and virus programs?

i dont wanna publish the guestbook page until its perfect. i previewed the guestbook page and it doesnt look as it should. your not able to plug in your information. when that is taken care of i will publish the page

Well i suggest you publish it .. even to a test directory.. then you can SEE what it actually does and how it actually LINKS. Otherwise you wont get it perfect because you cant verify and click links that arent yet published.

And what the ****** does ftp have to do with previewing?
