You have to upload them to your server, if you are wanting to limit access to them create a password protected folder within your c-panel and upload them into it, then create links to them. Then you will have to give the people a password to access them. Look into a login script for this, navaldesign (one of our moderators) has one that works very well.

You can do as D'Son suggests, or if password protecting isn't an issue, then when you create your link, choose 'file' instead of 'html' address, then when you publish the page, the file will go along with it.

I have a page that have 2 links, Artists and Vender Applications, if you click on either of them, the PDF comes up and you can print and/or save it for later. Click here to see what I mean.

From BlueVoda Tools you can access your FTP.

Use the FTP to upload to a folder in your public_html.

Give the folder a simple name like "downloads"

Make sure you did not check the "open in a pop up window" box. Set the target to blank within the link properties.
