Thread: best way to design background

Is it better to use layers to design my background or should I use shapes? What is the difference? I have looked for tutorials about layers but have not found anything. Thanks in advance.

Layers are "lighter" in code and thus "page weight" than shapes, but there are many attributes to Shapes that are not yet updated to Layers in the current version of BlueVoda. Coming, but not yet here ...
