Thread: Problem using single menu page

Hello, I don't know if I'm just out of luck or if it's something my computer is doing, but I cannot fix this problem. I've followed the directions from http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/blu...nu-bv-php.html and it still isn't working. On my test page,http://www.collegeparkbc.com/newmenutest.php, I have a green background and a butterfly which shows up perfectly when I don't include the menu link. As soon as I publish it with the html box for my menu, it makes the background color go away. I have included a webpage that allows you to see all the parts of my situation. http://www.collegeparkbc.com/problem.html It's very possible I'm missing something simple, but this has worked for me in the past and now all of a sudden I am having this problem. As you can tell, these are only test pages b/c I was tired of recreating a real menu from scratch only to have it do the same thing. The real example of this is my home page. www.collegeparkbc.com. The top menu bar is what my page is left of center and the background is white. Thanks for any help on this matter.

There seems to be nothing wrong with your "Menu" system you have added as a script via the HTML Box .... it appears exactly as you have placed it, and apparently as you have configured it earlier before pasting it into the Box.

The "Menu" appears in the top-left position because that is where you have positioned the HTML box itself: the HTML Box is merely a "container" for the script to 'locate' onto the page as an added element, and thus will be registered in reference to the X-YT Axis point (shown in the bottom right of your BV Workpane) with respect to the top-left corner of the HTML Box itself. The "color" of the HTML Box itself naturally "disappears" upon publishing (or in Preview) as it is intended to only be a visual clue for YOU during construction.
If you want a white background to your Menu system, you will need to either make such specifications to the script itself (I am sure there is the ability to do so), or place a white "shape" under the HTML Box on your BV Page.
* I would suggest making the HTML Box a bit "wider" than actually required, and "shorter" so you have a better feel for how to position it properly.

Thanks for the quick response. I understand those things, but my problem is that when I include the menu, it makes the background of the page go to white. If you look at our homepage, www.collegeparkbc.com, you see the stuff on the page is off to the left and the background is white. If I take out the menubar, the stuff will center and the background will be blue. http://www.collegeparkbc.com/problem_2.html demonstrates what our page looks like when I don't include the html box. This method has worked for me in the past, but after doing a few webpage updates, I started having issues. I was hoping starting over would fix the problem, but apparently not. Trying on a completely new page and menu is why I had the goofy green page with the butterfly. I appreciate any advice you may have on this.

Using a foreign script is always something that should be undertaken with great caution.

There are similar Menu options already included in BlueVoda that you should use by default instead.
