I would like to add a forum for people to leave questions that will be answered for people to see on my web site. Like this one, is that possible?
At this present time it is just a thought.
Many thanks

Hi,
Yes its posible...If you look in your Cpanel under fantastico I believe its there.
Have a search on forums.......
Good news! BV comes complete with a forum for you to use - check out the add ons in Fantastico in your control panel.
Also see the special forum on the subject by visiting this link:

Huh Dave - you got there before me!!
No prob trish
btw: keep losing top part of YOUR site every time I visit......
which site?
Thank you both for the help. It all looks very complicated. I have watched both tutorials on installing a phpbb. Do you know if there any way I can print off the step by step instructions, it all happens rather fast for my brain to be able to digest the instructions.
Many thanks guys
Alison (pea brain)......lol
LOL - if I can do it anyone can. I actually had the tutorial open in a separate window, and kept pausing the instructions. I did the next step, then went back to the tutorial to see what to do next, paused again, and so on! Works with all the tutorials.
Give it a go, and if you get stuck ask for help onthe forum forum. Lots of experts here!
Many thanks Trish, I will give it a try .
Ali
So....if I added a phpBB, would it be another page altogether? For instance, my main page will be www.teamgreenerealty.com/index.html. Would my phpbb be www.teamgreenerealty.com/forum.html? How would my users get access to it? Sorry, I know very little about this.
If you install your forum in a subfolder called "forum", just create a link from your site to the forum. It can be a text link, or a button, or an image or wharever you want. The link would be: www.teamgreenerealty.com/forum . The forum usually has as start up page a page called index.php so in your link you only have to specify the folder.

OK....so is there a tutorial so I can figure out how to create a subfolder? I'm a little slow on this stuff. I hate to keep asking you guys dumb questions, but this is my first shot at this web design thing.
You don't need to. When you install the forum from Fantastico, it will ask you for the folder to install the forum to. Just give it as folder name "forum". It will create it by itself.

OK...so if I messed up the fonts and stuff on my phpBB site, is there a way to erase it and start again from scratch?
You won't, but yes, you can uninstall and reinstall in Fantastico.Originally Posted by tgrealty
