Thread: How to insert a hit counter?

Hi all,

Could anyone help me install a hit counter on my site? How on earth do you do it? And where do you get one from?

I have Frontpage / Dreamweaver and BlueVoda

The page has been created on Blue voda so would like to add one this way..

google for free website counters and then paste required code into an html
box (top left side icon)

edit: like your home page, can I borrow one of the models ???????????

Had to be careful there and doctor the text - they all have links to other sites - most not clean!

go to www.statcounter.com , use the insert html feature in BlueVoda.

Just use your awestats in your control panel. It gives you daily stats better than any counter out there.

For a store, putting a visible counter is considered unprofessional. And some people will look at see not enough visitors and consider you new and maybe not reliable yet. If you're looking to know how many visitors you've had - use the awstats and/or put in the invisible version of statcounter.

I agree. I hate counters. Makes me feel like Big Brother is watching. The invisible one would be better. People do look at your hits whether you're new or not...I'll have to check that awestats myself...
