adding a "make this your homepage" button as i thiougt i would add one but cant for the life of me find the code etc from net or forums please help

Try something like the below:

<a href="#" onClick="this.style.behavior='url(#default#homepag e)';this.setHomePage('http://yoursite.com');">Click here to make this your default homepage</a>
