Thumbs up How to configure Paypal

I have been building my first site with BV which this forum has been so helpful to me.

My problem now is how to configure Paypal button from start. I have not used paypal to sell any thing before since rhis is my first website.

I've watched the tuttorial several times, but after adding Paypal button, What next, how do i make yhis funtional on my site. Do i have to logon to Paypal to obtain the html code. If so , How do i configure it in Paypal & on BV to have it working on my site.
A step-by-step instruction will be highly appreciated.

Thanks, counting on your support.

If you have completed filling out all of the tabs (General/Details/Shipping/URLs) after double clicking on the PP button of choice you are ready to sell. Nothing further is needed.
Let's start for the beginning. You will need a PayPal account.
In the BV web builder click on the button of choice (i.e. Buy Now)
A box with a PayPal button will appear on your page. Double click inside that box and fill out each tab.
On the URLs tab it asks you for the pages URL that customers will be sent to after completion of a sale or a page if they decide to cancel the transaction. You will need to make these pages and publish them to your public_html file. It's up to you what the pages say. Make sure there is a way to navigate back to your website from both pages.
this is my thank you page:

Just want to say thank you for your help. It just worked as you said.

Any idea of how to make my website name www.learncomputerfast.com appear on my page instead of my email address when someone clicks the buy now button, which takes him to paypal. What appears there is my email and not my website name.

Many thanks once again.

This is an issue that requires you to make all of your buttons thru your PayPal account rather than the PP button generator on BV.
You can always set up another PP account and use
sales@learncomputerfast.com

No, you can use one account for more than one website as long as it's not important to keep the accounting seperate.

In that case you will have to have a PayPal account for each website.

My research indicates a seperate email account if you want a different business name/email to appear in the PP window.

Thanks for your help. I have defferent email accounts in pp, but you can only enable one as the default email account and that is the one that keeps popping up for every site. How then can i use a different email account for different web sites, with one account. Please do you have any idea.

Thank once again for your help.

I have multiple accounts (5). Whenever my login page comes up I simply change the email address and enter the corresponding password. (Click on thumbnail)
This is different than having multiple emails in one account.
You must have a seperate account for each email addy. Each account will have its own email address and unique password.

Thanks a lot. I'll go & open a different account in paypal.

I can see that you have different sites here. I have posted two threads on this forum about how to publish my index page for my add on domain. The DNS is pointing to BV. I have also published a test page & its ok. But the index page will not publish. I just named the page "index" and the domain name is www.fredpublishing.com

Can you also help me out on this one too. Thanks.

If www.fredpublishing.com is the addon you would publish to:
public_html/fredpublishing
Your index page must be named and published as " index " no upper case allowed.

Thanks but that's what i've been doing.
1) logon to ftp maneger
2) click to select public_html/fredpublishing
3)drag from left, index.bvp to the right

But it does not publish this index page. if i publish another page to this folder. it publishes alright. I named it "index" with no upper case.
What else could be wrong. Please help me.

You cannot ftp a .bvp file. It must be published from the BV web builder interface.
