i cant seem to figure out how to split pages. i want to have buttons on the left, and when they are clicked on the link would appear on the right, while the buttons remain on the left. can someone help me with this?

The IFrame solution will do as you require. Also having the menu/whatever on the left side in the exact same position in every page gives the appearance of only the right side changing.
