Default Add links to only part of an image!!

My home page background is an image with company information at the bottom within the image. I want to be able to add a link to only the bottom of the image but not acutally show the link. Meaning I incorporated text within the image in a font BV doesn't have. So I need an email address link only on top of the email address text that is transparent so it seems as though the text within the image is the link. Make sense? go to www.trunkmat.com The title and the bottom logo and company info are part of an entire image and I need the link over the email address at the bottom. Plus, I do this alot instead of designing within BV I design within Adobe Illustrator cuz I have more freedom and then incorporate the design into BV and add links.
Thanks Shannon

Hi ... well you are losing alot of information that the search engines gather by using images .. but what you can do to solve your problem is apply a transparent shape over the email and link the email to the transparent shape ..

Hi, pop a shape over the area you want the link to be & in & select transparent in the effects box & the border to "0". Then add the url link via the link tab at the top of the properties area.

SNAP! lol

Thanks for the info. I knew that!! I still need help!!! I don't want to incorporate text into the image!! Like you said I want the search engines to find us!! One of the reasons I incorporated the text into the image is to use the drop shadows. I know you can shadow the text in the logo feature but I can't figure out how to link the logo. I can't find drop shadowing in the regular text feature at all. If I can shadow the text and link the email address then I don't have to incorporate it into any image. Will you offer me some suggestions
Thanks Shannon www.trunkmat.com

Might it not be a good idea to leave the visual email address as it is.....

Once you publish the actual link you will be picked up by the bots and then inundated with lots of spam...........just a thought.

So to drag this out a little longer. All these websites that have a contact us feature were you click on the email address and up pops a compose email, all those people are setting themselves up for spam?
P.S. what is......(imo) in your response?

imo....in my opinion......any email address on a website can be picked up unless its coded or a catchpa is used.
