  • Linking A PDF file I put on Blue FTP

I uploaded a pdf form to the blue ftp and now i need to know how to link it to my website. Can someone please help me out? I already know how to do hyperlinking. I've looked at the tutorial and everything.

If you have uploaded the file to your ftp manager you then need to drag the file across to the website you want it available in. You can now link to it, by hyperlinking to www.yoursite.cxx/filename.pdf once you click on the link it will be available.
Hope this is of some help

Upload the pdf to the server. In the FTP Manager you can do it by the move to or copy to buttons or take the file from the left side and drag it to the right side.

Drag and drop it to the server.

sorry I was away for a while, glad to hear you made it in the end. It is a hard slog sometimes, but once learned you can repeat it many times.
              Good luck with the rest.

I also am having trouble linking a PDF file. I've done everything properly (I think) at the FTP site, but when trying to get to the link on the web page, I just get "Page Cannot Be Displayed". What did I do wrong, and how can it be fixed? the page is at www.kzoocoping.com/registration

What is the name of the pdf file? Please post the link that you created for that file.

Also- it appears that you have the pdf file in a pdf links folder- is this correct? So make sure when you post that
you post the exact name of the pd file and its location.

the name of the file is "registration form.pdf". i linked it using the URL ftp://my IP address/public_html/pdf links/registration form.pdf

by the way, your explaination on how to get a file onto the FTP site was simple and easy - thank you.

YAY!!! after trying multiple ways to link the PDF, I hit on the one that works! http://www.mysite.com/location of file. In my case it was http://wwwkzoocoping.com/pdf links/registration form.pdf. The pdf link opens just fine now.
