  • Need Help Desperately.

Need help with Publishing and cPanel Passwords.

Full Name: Robert L. Watson, Sr.
    Domain Name: http://www.bobsinternetmart.com
    Vh Customer ID: 9783
    Invoice Number: 21553

I have constructed the first two pages Since purchasing the Domain Name
& Hosting pkg. (Index or Home and About Us). At least constructed to the point that I could not find answers to the problems that I am having
    in the Support Forums.

    1. I need to know how I can get the user name and password required
to publish my site pages to the web.
    2. I need to know how to add Navigation buttons vertically on the left
    side of my pages.
    3. I also need to know how to add those buttons so that they will load
the corrresponding page when clicked on.

    Thanks,

    Robert L. (Bob) Watson, Sr.

    Re: Need Help Desperately.

All this information is covered very well in the tutorials at the top of
    the page 'Tutorials'.

The log in information was sent by email which contains the
login user name, password and server address.

Once I received that information, I selected the publish icon at the
top of the builder, entered the information requested, and published.

The 'bars' you need are on the left of the builder called 'nav bars'
You can customize them by right clicking the four bv bars that appear
and select properties. There you can enter the url of the pages.
The first page should be saved and published as 'index'.
If you have page2 saved and published, then one button or bar should
have http://www.yourdomain/page2.html listed in the properties for
that button for the url. Select 'style' and you can change the
    appearance of the button.

      Re: Need Help Desperately.

      Hello Brad,

Thanks for your reply. That solved my Navigation questions, but I guess
the problem with not being able to publish my pages lie in the fact that I
have not received the email containing my user name, password, and server address.

I did receive an email from Vodahost on Mon., 28, Aug., at 05:13:14
-0500 containing the subject: Vodahost::Login Information, from which I
have copied and pasted the portion pertaining to Publishing and cPanel
      Login as follows:

Control Panel & BlueVoda Publishing Details:YOUR IP ADDRESS74.52.103.210CONTROL PANEL LOGIN URLhttp://74.52.103.210/cpanelMASTER USERNAMExxxxxxxMASTER PASSWORDxxxxxxx

But when I use this Login Information, I get a message Invalid User Name or Password.

What am I doing wrong and is this the email that I should be using or will I be getting the right email later?

      Thanks,
      Robert L. (Bob) Watson, Sr.

        Re: Need Help Desperately.

Hi again! I don't usually dive in to a problem with this
depth! However, since I started I'll follow through!

First: I don't recommend posting your login information
on a forum. This information can actually show up
on the internet very easily now for anyone to capture,
so you may want to change your password right away.
You can do that in control panel as soon as you get in.

Second: Since you offered the information, I attempted
to log in from www.vodahost.com customer login
near the bottom of the page. I logged in, selected
YOUR server 74.52.103.210 , logged in to the server,
(note: you must select the correct server to go in to)

Third:Used 'file manager' to look at your file structure.
I located 'index' and 'About Us' in the 'public_html'
folder. (I did notice that 'About Us' is two words
with no underscore connector - normally you would
use one word for a file name, or connect words with
an underscore). However, I was able to view your
pages on the internet, without using Voda.
        www.bobsinternetmart.com here, and:
        www.bobsinternetmart.com/index.html
        www.bobsinternetmart.com/About Us.html

So, it seems you're up and running. Just try logging
in again and make sure you are not on caps or miss-
typing. You have published the two pages above
so, you should be able to up-date now if you've made
changes. Good Luck! Hope that helps.

          Re: Need Help Desperately.

Not a good idea to make your user name and password public information. For all purposes any outsider could wreck havoc with your site. Suggest you change your password or submit a support ticket to change both user name and password.

As to not being able to publish, just save your work and download BV again. The IP address should now appear.

When you publish a page, you can come back and open the file in BlueVoda and make any changes, add elements, etc. Then save and publish again.
