  • Page Properties - Center

Going thru my BV initiation and learning curve.
The default page was set up at 1077x2492 (WxH), my screen res is set to 1280x1024 so i changed the width to 1280.
At the properties setting of 1077 the page when published (streetfeet.biz - this is just a test URL) and in preview was shifted to the right and probably centred correctly - at the 1280 width it was left aligned.
Would someone please explain how this works exactly?
    Thanks

    Re: Page Properties - Center

    Welcome,
-Under Page Properties cehck "Center in Browser"
-Your screen resolution and the width of your pages are two separate things. A lot of pages here are set to 800px. Avoid the horizontal scroll.
-Before you save and publish each page make sure that your page width is set to 800 or 1024. Sometimes when you load an image or add text it will change.

    Good luck.

As Bill said, it's not wise to be setting the page to look good in YOUR computer with your settings. You need to consider how everyone will be viewing the site. And to stay within a resolution - set your width a tad less than it - so for 800, set it at 780 or 790, etc etc.
