  • Having a graphic for the name of the website

    Is there anyway we can make a graphic for the name of the website so it displays before the address in the address bar ??

    As almost every webpage does it these days? I did a search but couldn't find anything.

    Example, Yahoo website has that red 'Y' before the www.yahoo.com etc

    thanks

    Fantastic Web hoster and support forums :)

      And remember that not everyone can see them. Example I can see them in Firefox but not in IE6.

          Re: Having a graphic for the name of the website

          I uploaded a picture, but then it says to do this -
          Q. How do i do this? Where do i get access in the control panel to do it or what icon do I use in control panel to change it?

          sorry, Im a noobie :)

          To add this favicon to your web page:
          • Click "Download FavIcon" and open the package. favicon.ico is included in it.
          • Upload the favicon.ico file to the folder on your web site where you have the web page.
          • Add the following HTML tag to your web page after the <head> tag, before the </head> tag:
          <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" >
          That's it! To test your new favicon in Internet Explorer, add your site to Favorites and reopen the page

              Have you heard of patience? I mean you asked the question, it's holiday - and this is a forum of volunteers who use the programs to help each other. Have you looked for any posts to see if you could help?

              Now - you have access on any of your pages - open your index page - right click on the page - click on "page html" and you'll see where to put this information. (After the head tag).
