  • Adding PDF file links

    Hello and greetings from Australia.

I have a question regarding pdf files. If I have a pdf file on my hard drive and I want to create a link to it (via downloading it off the website), how do I a) get the pdf info to the web page b) publish the pdf link on the web page; or is there another way??

I am guessing that it is similar to adding externals such as windows media player etc, however I was unable to find a pdf link in the menu. On other web pages it is a pdf button link with the file name, does the system allow me to to this?

    Thanks for your help

    Hi Jamie,

The explanation will be quite long. I'll just go a few step at a time and see how it goes.

As matter of fact I wanted to do the same. I did a few trail and error and finaly I manage to get it up.

    1) zip the pdf file

    2) upload the zipped file to your hosting server via your cpanel.

    3) make sure you upload at your public_html file of your correct website folder, in case you have a few sites.

    4) once uploaded, check on the URL of the uploaded zip file

    To be continue.........
