    Re: Marquee Pictures

    Hi

    If you have moved, renamed or your image has % or symbols in it, sometimes this creates a problem, rename and reinsert the image, this should clear things up for you ...

      Thank You LADYEYE. Everything works fine now. Where do you live in Canada? I come from Canada but now live in Thailand.

        Hi Kevin

        You're very welcome! Glad you have everything sorted. That's good news.

        I live in Nova Scotia, one of the Maritime Provinces.

        Where in Canada are you from? And when did you leave for Thailand?
        I have a cousin who resides in Thailand now, funny eh!

            Ladyeye...Do you know of anyway to make a marquee to pause for a period then resume action ? I am trying to get a shape (talk bubble ) to appear as if there is some one speaking.

              Re: Marquee Pictures

              Sorry!

              There is no manner to set Properties of a Marquee to "stop and start"......

              If you would like to see many variations of how a marquee can be used, take a look at a few pages I have done:
              1. Vision Page different styles combined
              2. Contact Page many individual creating larger effect
              3. Commitment Page combination of marquee and static text
              4. Solutions Page simple use of marquee
              5. Innovations Page use of mixed marquees and timing

              and another with a lot of marquees to create a more robust impression on a Main Page HERE

              Maybe these will demonstrate some creative applications, despite the "stop-start" feature that is missing....

                BTW: When using pictures, the banner rotator works better!

                You can see it used in many variations on this site......each page is formatted differently (speed, sizes, orientation, etc.)

                  Nice circuit you made there moving around ... so you really did get your passport when you passed through the "Causeway" to the Mainland then didn't you, lol ...

                  Sketchy details as to where my cousin is actually at, he is a deep sea diver working with cables somewhere, in fact right now in Ireland for three weeks doing the same ...

                      I see on the Buttons there is and Add Event. I have tried to put a button to add event and linked it to one of the marquees. I set it to show on click. What is that supposed to do ? It did nothing in preview.

                        Re: Marquee Pictures

                        If you wnat to use images in a marquee, you must first "publish" them on an innocuous page somewhere in your account, on a page not "linked" to your site proper.....just lay them out on a BV page without any need to do SEO tags, etc., but with a page title say, like "images" (so you know what the heck it is! LOL).

                        Once you have published the images -- which need to be exactly the same size -- you will then visit the pulished images page:
                        1. right-click on each image (in the order you will load them into your marquee);
                        2. Click on PROPERTIES
                        3. Copy the complete URL info for each image shown (i.e.: http:// www yourdomain.com/images/firstimagename. html )
                        4. PASTE that URL string into your Marquee Properties, where Text is usually entered;
                        5. After each URL string pasted, add a "space" and type in <br> and another "space" (this addition of the <br> tells the marquee to locate and load each image separately, and is the 'line definition' also for vertical marquees to make multiple text lines!)

                        This should do the trick for you!

                        You cannot save a marquee (a utility) as an object within a marquee.....total redundancy! An object can be saved as an image, but it is best to create it outside of BV, like in Paint!, properly titled and "published" as described above...

                              I have tried to link to the site above Vasili where you have this site but I get an error message. Is that site still working. I am very interested in seeing this.
