Aren't they cute? (Well, I think so! LOL)

18 hatched - 3 still to go. Had their first real feed of crickets today - one didn't get the idea straight away and ran away from a cricket that was chasing it!

          Re: Baby Dragons

Unfortunately they are in my study LE - I spend more time looking at the babies than what I'm doing on the computer! LOL

Come on guys - bonnets for them all? Who wants to knit 18 of them???

One of the little guys has no back feet - we'll be keeping him/her. I keep calling it Stumpy, but Michael doesn't like that - it will be Pinnochio if it's a boy, and Thumbelina if a girl. Continuing the Shrek theme, you see! He keeps up with the others fine, and they include him in their group huddles, so he doesn't know there is anything different about him. He's ever so pretty too.

They all look very healthy - and their favourite game is a version of Jengo! They all climb up on top of one another until one climbs up and they all fall over! Such a laugh! Then they seem to start all over again!

                  Re: Baby Dragons

18 out of 21 hatched but kind of giving up on the last 3 now. Either they are very lazy or can't make it out of the shells. Apparently no point helping them out - if they aren't strong enough to get out themselves they won't survive anyway.

But I'm very happy with that number! I'm certain LE one of the lucky ones - trouble is, apart from Stumpy absolutely no way of telling them apart! LOL.

                              Dad's about 21" long - Mum about 20"!

Babies all eating well and growing fast! They are so tame - they know me for food and come running to the front of the viv when I go near it, pawing at the glass. Sooooo cute!

Very cheeky too - one jumped into the cricket tub I was feeding them from the other day - didn't notice until i pulled the tub out of the viv and then I jumped as there was something I didn't expect in it! He was having a great time - I mean, why chase crix round the viv when you can jump in the tub with them and stuff yourself!

Had to pick him up and put him back with the others, and he clung onto my finger. Ahhhhh.
