How Do I Link Buttons For New Page

Hi,
I am new to building my own site.
I am having troubles linking buttons to link my pages.
For instance i have set up a home page button how do i link this button to my page information?
Any information would be helpful

Your link back to your home page will be your domain name url. This will be one of the 1st pages you published called index.
The only one with an odd name.
