  • Specific page load

I have a specific page, one of about thirty pages that always loads slow. It has nothing special about it, just one small mp3 and several menu's. The page header is identical to all of the other pages. The page in questions is www.zionsbranch.org/av_library.php. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I don't want people to think the page is not working.
    Thanks,
    Rich

      Re: Specific page load

I did some rearranging of elements, and you are correct in the if I remove the Windows Media Player from the page that was loading slow, the page loads fine. But I don't understand this; maybe you can clairfy. I have other pages that have Windows Media Players on them with much larger MP3 or WMV files. (example: http://www.zionsbranch.org/av_08142005_mp3.php) (The file size of this MP3 is 64,678 kb.) This page loads with out a problem.

If you go to the page with the problem, http://www.zionsbranch.org/av_library.php, it loads slow (on the first visit) and the file size of the MP3 is 1,117 kb.

Oddly, I set up a separate page with just my page header and a Windows Media Player linked to the same MP3 file that is being used within the av_library page. This page loads fine. http://www.zionsbranch.org/test_av.php

This seems contradictory to the http://www.zionsbranch.org/av_library.php page since the Windows Media Player on both pages are linked to the same MP3 file.

I have something not quite right, but I have looked really hard for any inconsistency in the av_library page without any luck. If you have any other suggestions, I would appreciate it.
      Thanks,
      Rich
